    feeding before shedding??
Is it ideal to give my ball python a meal while he's in his shedding stage? Some of my bps dont show interest at this stage (opaque eyecaps) but this one seems it'll take the meal if offered.

I haven't had problems with a snake that wants to eat taking food. I don't go out of my way to feed them in shed but if I have something another refused I will give it a go with a snake in shed. My pastel female ate twice between start a week ago and finish of her shed this evening. She's super hungry again so I'm defrosting some F/T mice as I type :D Depends on the snake I suppose!

    Regards,

I've never had a problem with Gene eating in shed, except for f/t. He doesn't like it. I got him to eat a f/t once, then the next time he refused it, waited a week, refused again. By this point he was in shed. Went and got a live rat and he took it instantly. Ate, and the next day he shed. Made me happy :)

My policy is, if it's time to feed and it'll eat, feed it:)
