    Ate on the first try
Got my BP a week ago. He was previously eating live mice, i've been told. Got him to eat on the first try, just dangled a f/t in front of him and he went for it. I'll assume this is a good sign, that he's comfortable and that my husbandry is on par. Been watching temps and humidity levels, and so all is good. Just wanted to share.

Congrats! That is good news that he took for the first try, don't be surprised if it's not consistent at first, but it's a good start! Congrats :D

I figured afterwords I wouldn't see him for a while, but he's still poking his head out, but not really roaming for food. Is this normal, or is this a sign that he's still hungry?

Sounds like he might still be hungry! I offer several adult mice to each snake and most eat several at a time. My Bee is a garbage disposal so he takes care of anything that the rest don't want :D
