    For any who may care to, www.marrow.org is a site you can go to to register to see if you match anyone needing a transplant.

    It's pretty simple nowadays, just a cheek swab. They send you a kit, you send it back, and that's it.

    There is no more coring out a sample from you hip, no blood needed.

    The chances of anyone on this site being a match for me are minuscule but there are thousands and thousands of others out there in the same boat I am. That steersman has some seriously gnarly arms.

    For years I kept telling myself to go ahead and do this one and never did. Maybe you're the same.

    So, I would like to encourage those with the inclination to go and register.

    Who knows who's kid you might save.
