    Travelling with your BP internationally.
Hey guys, do you know what paper work requirents would one have to go through to travel with your pet snake internationally? What if, you have two or three BPs and you are
Moving here to Asia from the L.A.

The reason I ask this is I have a friend coming home. Since ordering from online breeders require a mininum which Is too man right now, I figure this method will be cheaper and easier. But I dont want to give me friend a hard time at the airport.

Hopefully the pet shop can help prepare everything, and my friend can just check it in normally with no trouble.

    Origin: L.A.
    Destination: Philippines
1.) what paper works are needed and where do you get them?
2.) Is there a pet shop/breeder in that area that can prepare the paperwork/packing?

We can easily bring dogs or cats, I hope snakes wont be too much trouble.

    Thanks guys! :)

Hmm I have no idea. Most countries are a real pain about bringing pets into the country. For example, most countries have a 30 day minimum quarantine of your animal before you can have it back. Hopefully someone will know more. I'm guessing your friend will have to have the snakes shipped.

    Hi,

The animals are still CITES 2. The fact it is a pet doesn't change its species.

Therefore you will still need to get the import/ export paperwork and pay a lot of the charges of importing or you will be guilty of smuggling animals.

The fact it is a pet might mean you could dodge some tax ( but I wouldn't count on it ) but I'm fairly sure you wouldn't really save much money and could, if you tried to skip steps, get you and your friend arrested.

Of course I want to bring the snakes in Legally. Well, the prices of BP's here are so ridiculously high that I think even with all the paperwork and tax there it would still come out cheaper. Especially if you get more thank one snake so you can spread out the cost, I figured if shipped three juvy's through a friend legally and sell 1 to more or less make up fpr the cost :)

I have inquired through some sites already and they gave me a minimum of 2500 dollars
Worth of snakes and a 1500 fixed shipping cost even if i shipped 40 snakes. It is a good deal if I find about like 2 other guys to split it with me and I can only gather up to about 3 lol :)

So I am studying this way to do it :)
