Opinions on my startup selection
I have been keeping snakes as long as I can remember. Recently I started seeing a woman who rekindled my interest in breeding and now I've gone from a pastel pair and a Burmese to 10 snakes in about 4 months. I am going to give an overview of my breeding plans and I'd like to know how you guys would go forward or your opinion if I'm making any mistakes.
I should start by saying I am first and foremost a business man. Owning multiple other company's I always have profit in my mind, however doing this has always been my dream job and now that I have money I can approach this venture without having to rely on the profits for anything. So here goes:
.2 pastels around 1200 g
.1 pinstripe around 900 g
.1 Enchi around 850 g
.1 queen butter 360g
.1 pastel 350 g
1. Queen butter 350 g
1. Pastel 1100 g
1. PE line Desert (screamer) 350 g
1. Fire 340 g
Here is my plan for this coming season.
The Desert will pair up with the Pin, Enchi, and I plan on finding a large spider and maybe a Huge normal or another pinstripe. Im hoping for a male desert spider that I can put to some lesser girls in a few years.
The queen butter male will be put to 4 huge normals (yet to purchase).
The fire male was supposed to go with some Vanilla girls to make creams but I'm having a very hard time finding any vanilla girls with any size at all.
I have five 1.2 set ups of ASF with another 5 pairs growing up. I already have close to 100 in the grow out tank and 5 littlers in my original rack, so needless to say I have plenty of feeders for the future of growing my guys up.
Currently all my balls are in a rhino rack setup but my older females are too big for this so I have chosen to go with an ARS rack for adults. I'll be getting this rack here in the next few months, August at the latest when I go to the Daytona show.
Please give me any advice or thoughts you might have as I am never too proud to learn from someone with more knowledge than I have.
Thank you!
Paul

Sounds like a strong foundation to me :D

The pastel male was purchased a few years ago along with one of the pastel females. I really have no plans on breeding him. I really like the Vanilla Cream and that is one snake I plan on selling to myself haha... So I'm either going to keep him and raise up a vanilla or sell him and buy a super fire female to go with a vanilla male. I'll consider all the thoughts on rats, though I got the ASFs partly due to the reduced odor. My snakes and rats are in my warehouse/office so when I have rats it seems to smell much worse.
