Whats Up With Animal Planets "Surprisingly Human" Thing?
Also why do they highlight the "M" in black? Its a little wierd...I've been wondering for a while.

    Any answers?

IMO, their slogan should be "Surprisingly NOT Human", if they were doing what they should be anyway. I'm plain sick of 99% of the programming, I refuse to watch Animal Planet at this point. Between all of the animal hoarding, exotic pets and other animals killing humans and people being infested with parasites, it's sickening. Completely different from what they used to be.

Is there a reason for it? Yes! Marketing, of course. What sells better than animals maiming humans and other animals?

    This is worth a read.

Ha love that article. Some shows I like on Animal Planet...but it's not a lot at all. They inclue Big Cat Diaries and other shows that..you know..actually TEACH you something about animals instead of making them look horrible, deadly, and dangerous all the time? Ugh, one show I ESPECIALLY hate is "Fatal Attractions". It's ALWAYS dissing reptile owners. They started off one show about a reptile lady who got bit by her Gaboon Viper and died with..."What amount of delusion, lonliness, and insanity would compel someone to own a pet witht he potential to kill them?"

This little line pisses me OFF. ANY ANIMAL HAS THE POTENTIAL TO KILL YOU!!! My Chocolate Lab named Diseal has a MUCH bigger chance of killing me than ANY of my reptiles.

I'm considering just not watching animal planet period.

^ I think he was a bit of a nutcase or wanna-be Steve Irwin. A lot of his stuff was obviously faked or planned out and just wasn't my cup of tea; still isn't.

My 7th grade science teacher also met him at one point, and she said he was nothing like he is on TV.

Nat Geo is so new that cable doesn't get it. :/ If my mom didn't think every crime show and new crap from ABC Family was worth watching maybe we'd have dish, but not now.
