    Ok so i have an empty 36x16x16 i can put in any substrate or a pool or whatever in there.
    heres what im looking into for animals, if i choose you're animal please put a name with it and thats what ill name it.
    1.is less than 100$
    2.preferably a turtle but ill take other suggestions.
    3.has good temperament.
    4. Can live in a 36x16x16 with a heat bulb and uvb/uva bulb.

    Oh definitely a pair of mud turtles or musk turtles! These are the 2 turtle species that stay very small. This makes them much easier to house and care for than sliders or painted turtles. Plus they look cool!

    I'd name them Bonny & Clyde or Micky & Mallory!

    Any other turtle would require a larger tank eventually. That means bigger filtration systems, heater, etc. These guys stay very small.

    Box turtles and diamondback terrapins have great temperaments, even wild-caught specimens. We found one once that was so docile, we were convinced it was someone's pet. You have to be careful with terrapins, though. They're highly endangered here in NJ, so make sure you're not buying WC.

    CB painted turtles and red-eared sliders can be pretty docile, but they're kinda hit-or-miss. The Eastern painted girls at my school are great, but I had an Eastern painted male that was pretty nasty.

    With most chelonians, though, you'll probably have to upgrade to a bigger size at some point.
