    Mites & Breeding female's
So my friend's collection ended up having mites and we have a few female's ready to drop their clutches but i'm scared to spray them down with NIX, For fear of them slugging out on me.

What do you guy's do when this situation comes up during breeding season??

I've never heard of NIX being used..? I've always heard Provent-a-Mite (PAM) was the way to go when dealing with mites. I haven't had a mite problem in years so I'm really not sure how one would go about treating gravid females. Hopefully someone here will chime in.

I would suggest cleaning up as much as possible before your girls lay. Try to have them soak and spray your racks and what not but not them with whatever you're using. I wouldn't know, but the sooner you do something the better with mites. Seriously, clean everything. They're hard to get rid of.

If using Provent a Mite and used properly your fine to treat gravid females.

Provent a Mite is only toxic when wet, once dry your safe to return the female back to the cage.

Nix is a different story and wouldnt trust it

Thanks guys... I have sprayed down all the racks and the non gravid snakes... Seem to have controlled it ... It hasn't spread

i've always used NIX And had no problems with it, i've been using it for years... I swear by the stuff.

I'll keep an eye on it though
