Baby Crested Gecko Pointers
Im going to be getting a hatchling crested gecko soon from a breeder friend of mine. I've read alot of care sheets and have obtained alot of info already but would like some more from you guy's. Im looking for opinions on housing for a baby, what to start feeding and what ever other pointers you guys have for me. I would like to feed the rapashi crested gecko diet(not sure if I spelled that right) for convenience, but im not sure if its ok to start out with that or the steps needed to switch over to that diet...Thanks

I'm moving my geckos to naturalistic planted vivs with misting systems SPECIFICALLY because the babies seem to do the best in such setups. Make it seem natural with plants and vines and climbing areas, give 'em CGD every two days, mist them daily or 2x a day, and you're pretty much good to go.
I don't start feeding crickets until they grow up a bit, simply because small cricket sizes are a pain for me to get. I only feed crix these days to females anyways just to help them put on a size and weight to get them to breeding size a little earlier.
One thing you will ask with babies is "are they eating?" because they eat so little with tiny stomachs. The best way to answer this question yourself is to look for poop.
hope that helps!
Is a 12x 12 x 18 to big for a hatchling?
