Size of Cage

I really want to get rid of my glass tank for my ball python. I was recommended reptile basic cages. I was wondering will a 2x3x14 cage be ideal for an adult male ball python.

I think that would be plenty big. What a great enclosure.

The cages from reptile basics are really nice. Does anyone recommend the fluorescent lighting for the ball python? I wasn't going to add it since the light will not benefit the snake, but only stress it out. I usally just have natural sunlight come through my window to provicde day/night cycles. Although the snake is always hiding until night arrives.

I would go without lights.

This sounds like a stupid question, but what other snakes can you house in these cages? I know that burmese pythons,retics, etc. are out of the question when they are fully grown.

I personal like lights, I put mine on timers that are like $4 from homedepot or walmart, that way it they get there photogenetic period or whatever. I personal have had my snake eating better with a solid light cycle
