Vicious killer snake on the loose!

I recently came into possession of a tiny pink snow corn. I apparently startled her when checking her temperatures, because she struck at me!

The poor thing just bounced right off and sat there looking stunned. :) It was absolutely the most adorable attack ever.

Aww that would have been so cute to see. My corn Zues (an Okeetee I think) struck me the other day when I was checking in on him after he had fed a few hours prior.

He's still a baby so I hardly felt a thing and there was only the tiniest speck of blood but it was so cute how angry he was, like I was going to take his pinkies away from him! lol

It's hard to take them seriously when they are that little. None of my corns have shown even the slightest aggression. It's the male BP that's mean. He always strikes me!

My ball is as mellow as can be. I think this little one is just stressed out from moving and possibly uncomfortable, as she appears to have a near-total stuck shed. I'm trying to give her some time to chill before soaking her. :-/ I feel so bad for her but at the same time...so cute!

It's funny how people always recommend corns as the best starter snake. The two meanest snakes I have ever raised up are my two corn snakes. I have been bitten by them more times then I can remember. These are just my experiences and im sure they are great starter snakes.

It's because corns have a tendency to be docile and not prone to feeding problems. Of course some individuals defy all stereotypes.

Yep, mine's a shy eater so far as well, though I think she's just stressed and possibly uncomfortable. :) she'll be a good girl once she calms down.

Corns are a great starter snake because in general, the great majority eat well and tolerate wide temperature and humidity ranges. It's pretty hard to kill a corn snake through a lack of knowledge or just through beginner mistakes.

Most are very handleable, I was only ever bitten once by the only corn I've ever kept, and that was the first day I got him. It was actually great being bitten by him, showed me it was no big deal. I've seen at least a dozen threads throughout the past few years from someone freaking out over their pet ball python biting them, because they've never been nipped before despite having kept a snake for some years.

Nothing takes the fear of being bitten away than being nipped by a baby corn.
