    Another pre-lay shed!
My second female to ovy this year just had her pre-lay shed this morning! Afterwards I decided to palpate her and i'm not exactly sure what I felt. Some of the eggs felt softer than others (I think). How much harder do slugs feel than eggs while palpating? I have a bad feeling I have some slugs coming though...

I'd love to hear an answer to this too, my female is due to have her pre lay shed any day ( just coming out of blue)

I went home last night and gave her another quick feel and I may be retracting my original thoughts on them being slugs. I think she is just slightly more lean than my last girl that ovulated, so the eggs were a little more noticeable while palpating. I hope this is the case anyway! This is my first year breeding, so I am just trying to have fun with it and gain as much first hand knowledge as I can. I'll keep you all updated!
