    Newest addition...
This is the newest addition to our family. He is my present to my boyfriend for our anniversary. :) He's (from what I was told by the breeder) a Columbian Red Tail Boa and he's a very, very sweet snake and seems to have a great temperment. He's about 4 months old and I got him straight from a local breeder. I wish I had some better pictures, but we couldn't get him to stay still long enough and all I had was my phone at the time.

His pattern is really clear and defined.

He is currently unnamed and is in quarantine in a separate room of the house, away from my BP. Can't wait to see him grow up!

I know it's nothing special, but thanks for looking, anyway. :)

Beautiful little guy :) It amazes me how big they get from birth to adulthood.

I LOVE those kinds of boas. I wish I could get myself to buy one because they are just so gorgeous, I don't think I can handle a 10 foot snake though lol. Their faces and patterns are just gorgeous, congrats :gj:

I understand because initially, I felt the same way. My boyfriend and I already have a rule in place for when the snake is larger. We will never hold the snake, attempt to clean his tank/cage or feed him unless both of us are there. I thought my BP was strong and he is... but this baby Boa already blows my mind with his strength. This will be a snake that will be capable of much more than my fat lil' BP will be.

Here are a few more pics of him: We think we've settled on a name... Rufus.

Before I bought him, I spent several minutes inspecting him and even some of his siblings, as well as his cage and all seemed in great condition… I found one lone little mite on him last night! :rage: I didn't see any more on him after further inspection, nor did I see any in the cage. Luckily, I have some PAM sitting around from when my BP got mites once last year, so I treated his cage immediately after I found it. I know that'll take care of them little suckers. :gj:
