Few Snap shots of my rat rack, V1.0
I'm building one for now to see how I like it, what could be done different.
I have a piped watering system coming in the mail, but bottles work for now.

I plan to do a full guide as well as cut list for this using these tubs, as well as the longer 3 footer versions.

Some people have had issues with these tubs, I've had 0 chewers so far.

I may however order specific bins from the usa and rebuild this.

Presently I am using rubbermaid 2221 tubs. I keep 3 moms in a tub, and dad has his own. He gets cycled in as I require.
So far I can produce 25 or so on average babies per trio of moms per time around.
I figured that's pretty good odds
On the look out for a few unrelated healthy males now.

Close up of two of my moms

I only did two rows. This one may be torn apart and rebuilt. Only time will tell.

Oh and here are three of my New Zealand White females witing for there new homes.

    Thanks for looking.

If I may throw an idea, use a watering system if you are gunna go 5x6, changing that many water bottles might drive ya nuts

I would just make sure there isn't too much sunlight coming through that window and I would also recommend a watering system. I can tell you that I wasn't going to do it as I only have 5 tubs. I then got sick of changing the bottles. Then I priced it out and wasn't going to do it because of the cost. Then I got more sick of changing water bottles. I am so glad I broke down, and that's with 5 tubs.

It looks great man. The only suggestion I would make is buying smooth tubs. Your rats may try to chew their way to freedom in those tubs.

    X2

Those groves will be an issue and the starting point for your rats to chew their way out.

The tubs have worked so far and are by the easiest to get/cheap. so for now they work.

I guess the rest of you never read the part of my post about the plumbing being in the mail?

Thanks for the input, but the rack is being piped with 1/2".

People must only like to look at pictures, everyone mentioned getting a water system even though you stated in your 2nd sentence that it was coming ><
