Turning a tank on it's side??
I have three "tall" ten gallon tanks from various animals over the years and I'm looking for some help on how to build either sliding doors or swinging doors on the top so I can turn it on it's side and do away with the screen lid. Also I'd need to add ventilation - how would I do that? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please point me in the right direction!! Thanks for your time!!

I would think having plexiglass cut to slide into the current grooves would work for the door (or having it cut to replace the screen) but the ventilation issue I am not sure about. Plexiglass is not easy to drill and it is also not cheap (can chip and such while drilling which ruins the whole piece, plus holes all over the front door don't look great either).
You will probably end up spending more than you thought and end up with a not so great finished product.

very detailed, very cool; I'm definitely planning on doing this to my existing terrariums
