always on the cool side of the tank?????????

hello i have a 650gm female that hasnt been eating very well and always stays on the coolest part of the tank. she is in a 40 gal. breeder i have heat cord taped on 2/3 of the bottom of the tank and a 75 watt light on the top. the warm side stays between 90 and 85 and the cool side gets down to about 75 in the corners and thats where she stays. is this normal?

-Where exactly are you measuring your warm side temps and what are you using to measure them with?

-Do you have any type of controllers (thermostat or dimmer) for the heat rope and lamp?

-What type of substrate are you using and how thick is the layer?

-How many hides do you have in the tank?

If you could post a photo of your tank set-up it would help.

If your husbandry is correct, then it could just be that your BP feel's more secure on the cold side. Do you have 2 hides? Also, your BP is just regulating it's body temperature.

My BP is the same way, husbandry, temps, hides, etc. are all good. And my BP likes to stay in the cool side more then the hot side.

As long as your snake feeds regularly and doesn't seem/look stressed. Then you shouldn't be worrying.
