    Ball pyton and Boa.......same Terrarium?????
I have two beautiful babies a male ball python (1 year) and a female BCC boa (5 months). They both have a great temperment neither has ever struck at me and I have them in seperate terrariums now but was wondering if they can go together??? I am even hesitant to take them out at the same time because of the different species. Anyone have any insight on this????

Noooooooooooo. No no no no no no no. Never mix snakes of different species and ONLY mix snakes of the same species if you're trying to breed. A boa could easily kill the ball python with weight alone. Bad idea, don't risk it.

Absolutely not. Their requirements are not the same.

This too. Boas like it warmer and slightly more humid than ball pythons.

Also, keeping multiple animals in one enclosure will cause stress, and the difference in temperature/humidity will only make this worse. Then you've got lowered immune systems and nothing good can come of it.

No. I do house some of my balls together, but cross-species isn't safe. Even if they could get used to one another---and my friend's GTPs can't seem to get used to her ball pythons, even though they're a lot closer relatives---I would never be convinced it was completely safe for the ball due to the size difference.

And remember that boas can carry IBD without symptoms but it's fatal to pythons. I assume by now the two have already met and spend time together, so if the boa had IBD you'd already be seeing symptoms in the ball python... so I guess it's okay if they "hang out" together at this point. But I still wouldn't house together. Or even let them "play" unsupervised.

*My friend doesn't house her GTPs with her balls. But at one point the GTP escaped during the middle of the night, and she was all groggy and put the GTP back into the wrong tank. And woke up the next morning to find her two freaked-out balls and her freaked-out GTP huddling on opposite sides of the tank. And that's generally how they react to one another when she has them all out.

    No
    Different requirements
The boa will eat the ball python sooner or later.
