Yay! Our rack from Animal Plastics came yesterday!
I am so excited our rack finally came yesterday! I built it last night. Now we just have to wait for the thermostat we ordered for it last night. Then buy some more females. :D

Congratulations! Any day a new rack arrives is a great day. Whenever I get a new rack I cant help but to start thinking of all the perspective morphs that will eventually fill it up:D

A lot of women would! Ha ha, ok, just kidding

Congrats on the new rack! I built a DIY for my start but I see a hatchling and adult rack in my future. Thankfully I have at least a year and a half before I will need the hatchling rack. I think my current one might double as a hatchling rack and I'll pickup an adult one as my current collection ages. What thermostat did you go with?

    Regards,

We got the Vivarium Electronics VE-300. It was really hard to pick without know much about them. We wanted one that would let us program it for a temp drop at night.
We also got our scale and a couple more hides. The rack will house 12 hatchings or 6 adults. Or any combo of both.

Since we have a very curious 5 year old we are trying to figure a way to lock the tubs, so he don't open them and let the snakes out. I think I came up with a solution. Our rack is the economy rack so the sides are not solid. They have a strip running up the side. I am going to get some dog chain from Home Depot and connect it to the side strips with plastic zip ties and then lock the front on each shelf with a small key pad lock. :) I hope it works.

How long did yours take to arrive? I've bought 2 AP racks and they took forever to get here (a 3 tub CB70 was 6 weeks, and a 4 tub rack was over 8 weeks)! :O I really love them, but am leaning towards going with Reptile Basics again (3 weeks for my 3 tub CB70).

Congrats on the new rack.... I just got a new one myself. I have a lot of spaces to fill now... I just received a ve-300, but have yet to hook it up. It does look nice and the features are great...:D

It was about 12 days but we got the quick ship one. 6 Racks Economy one. It wasn't bad putting it together however I could have used a little more directions on running the heat tape. I did it right the first time but I kept second guessing myself and took it back off and tried it another way only to go back to the first. :)
