Was a spur, nevermind.... colubrids dont have them :P
As Harald said on that forum, they are spurs--normal on some species of snakes. Ball pythons happen to have them. :)
As stated over on Fauna, those are indeed spurs, and all pythons have them. Welcome to pythons. Consider that part of your initiation! :D
