    shed issue with my rock...
    i have a 7ft 21lb female arock and she has been in shed for 3 weeks... as in her eyes cleared 3 wks ago.. i soak her every couple days for 2-3 hr at a time but still no luck with a shed any ideas? never had a snake take so long to shed...

    Sounds a little unusual. I had a snake that had there eyes clear up and they shed 2 weeks later but not 3. Keep soaking her and or mabe bump her humidity up a little bit. Best of look, hope she sheds.
    When she does you should post some pics :P love seein rock pythons!

    At this point I'd give an assisted shed.

    Soak them in a container or tub in luke warm water for 20-30m.
    Use your hands or a washcloth and gently grasp around the snake, allowing them to tightly crawl through it. The skin should slowly slide off as they work their way through your hands.

    In my experiences they actually seem to understand what you're doing. They are eager to contract their body back and forth through my hands to get their skin off.

    Be careful though, it should be peeled back slowly, not fast.

    she just went back into shed has blue eyes today and been soaking all couple hrs a day on her own!

    she dont worry me... i use to mess with rattlesnakes back home in az those are much worse as far as the temper... but as long as youre calm and relaxed so is she rattlers never relax unless cb an mine were all wc so ya not a lot of handling them but once in a while we did
