changed the substrate.. now acting weird
so about a week ago i changed the substrate in my BP cage and ever since he comes out of his hides a lot more often. like i never use to see him and now i always see him. did i stress him out by changing the substrate?? also he hasnt eaten for a while....i think the last time he ate was late feb... most of the time when he is roaming about his cage is when i turn my TV on. he is near it, could this be bothering him?? any input would be much appreciated.

called stress. You changed his surroundings and now hes trying to figure it out again.

but i obviously must change the bedding on occasion.... so i am stressing him out on purpose??? or changing his bedding knowing that he is gonna get pissed off

i knew someone who changed the substrate in their boa's cage and he refused to even touch it for a few days, just sat on top of his water bowl. its something different, he will get back to his normal self in time. stress has to happen sometimes, don't worry about it.

ok well i guess. he is 3 years old now and he has done this a few times... as long as its not me doing something wrong then i guess i can rest easy. i have everything perfectly set up... so i dont think its my care/housing that is making him mad. just making sure. thanks!!!
