    Pics of my new BP
As some of you may have seen, I adopted my first ball python yesterday. I snapped a few quick pics of him today. (I didn't want to disturb him too much so I didn't take him out of his tub)

As you can see from the pics, he definitely needs some TLC. I'll be sure to post pics after I soak him and get his stuck shed all removed. I'm also looking forward to getting him fattened up a bit.

Geez, you'd think his previous owners had a dehumidifier in the enclosure.
Edit: I take that back..does look very skinny lol close to my first rescue ;) Good luck!

Aw, he is actually beautiful !!!
He is in rough shape but you can still see that he has a beautiful reduced pattern and great contrast !!

I think its very rewarding to take such a "ugly duckling" and watch him blossom into a beautiful swan. I'm sure he feels better already. You'll have him in tiptop shape in no time :)

Granted, it is very dry here in Colorado, but his previous owner was obviously not making any attemps whatsoever to increase humidity.

He was only being fed 1 adult mouse every 2 weeks. :( He's definitely big enough to be getting a small-medium rat every week.

It really is.. my first BP was a rescued, neglected "ugly duckling", and now she looks absolutely incredible. Makes me too happy. I took in another neglected one last night, the rehabilitation begins again :)

Same situation with both the BPs I took in. The first was being fed 1 medium mouse and rarely ate because she was so cold/dry. Idk what size the second was being fed because its owners were clueless.

Glad that this snake found a good home with you! :)

He will be so beautiful with all that extra shed off him! I'm sure you are going to just love the little fella. He doesnt look as bad as he could with being starved in such a way. Still, definitely in need of love love and care. So glad this beautiful boy found a good home! I for one vote for a before and after thread on this little guy in a month or two :gj:

This is a great case of inexperienced uneducated people deciding they want a pet that they know nothing about. I think it would be great if pet stores/breeders gave out more information or quizzes to people when they sell any animal. As an animal lover it bothers me to see animals in this condition. :(

I wish you the best of luck with him. I'm sure he's going to thrive now that he's with someone who understands his needs. Props to you for giving him a better life. :)
