while im here ill give an update

Shaka Zulu, does indeed live up to his title. He has struck the glass more times then i can count, and has actually opened a wound on his nose from striking the glass

The good news is that the wound, even tho it kept being re-opened for a few days, has healed nicely and he is fine :)

I have also seen him literally knock teeth out of his mouth. but hes okay every time :) hasnt missed a meal despite being fed FT for the first 2 times ever. So things are good with Shaka.

Still havent been bitten. its a miracle. Im gonna try to upload a video of him in action asap. :) I promise

He is a Macklot's python :) some info on them:

Males reach about 6 - 8 feet long. pretty bulky. Id say about MAX 10 - 13 pounds for a male

Females are usually around 7 - 10 feet long and just slightly heavier.

They have an amazing irredesence which really shows under good lighting and after sheds its just insane.

GREAT snakes. Other than the fact that some of them have a major attitude issue that you CANT fix. but there are a lot of macklots pythons that are very tame :)

Deff a good snake if you are not worried about how aggresive the snake may turn out to be
