Shedding again? & He tried to get out!!!

Hey all, Well I noticed tonight that Loki is getting pink & that his eyes are starting to look like they did when I first got him in Feb. He has already grown 2 - 3 inches since I got him. So I can only assume that in the next 2 weeks he will shed again. Right now he is 23 incehs long. He has grown from I'm guessing about 19 inches. He is starting to get more round too.

Is this normal? For him to shed again so soon? I don't really understand the whole shedding process of when they shed. I'm guessing it has to do with how much they grow. SO can I expect him to shed ever month? Or between 1 & 3 months? I just want to make sure hes doing something normal & that everything is good with him!

Also, luckily I went into his room (yes he has his own room & so does chin now) to check on him tonight when I got home from work, well that lil brat was on top of his hide & trying to crawl outta his tank! He didn't have it open but man was I surprised! My lil one is finally getting his strength back! I'm so proud of him! I just thought I would share that with you! It's times like that, that I wish I had a camera! But, now there is a heavy water bottle on that end of his tank so he can't possibly open it.

The shedding sounds normal. Sometimes bps seem to get a ghost shed. Where u think they are going to shed real soon and its actually a week away. Try to offer snug fitting hides and a tank or cage with a low height. Pythons will try to escape.

my breeding male bumblebee for last 6 months has shed every 30 days on the dot. He was in a major growth spurt which is the cause for all of it.

They shed when they need it.

He refuses to use any hide except for this stupid folgers can he has had in his tank since he first got it. It used to be used as a water dish(by previous owner) but i inverted it and turned it into a Hide. he loves it. I have tried other hides and he refuses them. If i put it on his hot side he wont use it. he just loves his cold side. I do see him on the hot side but he would rather bury himself in his bedding then use his hide on that side. even if i put the one he likes over there he still refuses it. he is one picky snake! I swear all my animals end up with OCD! Thanks for the info! I was worried! Hes in a 20 - 25 gal long tank. I'm actually going to be making him a tub soon! Better for humidity & in FL to reg humidity is a pain in the butt!
