tyson got bit today

well i bought a mouse today and got em home first the the lil sob chewed out of the box had to chase him down ( i hate mice hate em hate em so disgusting) well i cought him after a hr. so i slammed his container against the wall to stun em as i was told to do an dropped him in WELL he bit tyson took out bout 1/4 inch slab of scales. tyson didnt hesitat an turned an got some revenge. ut while he was squezzing the nasty lil mouse i had to hold it head back cuz he was still tryin to bite. but anyway is there anything i should do about the bite she seems fine not weary or anything just wondering about infections and stuff

i have one lesser that wont take anything else but live mice and to prevent from what just happened to you i crack him in the head with a screw driver hard enough so all he does is twitch for minute or 2 ,just enough for my lesser to eat him .i also hate mice to death i cant stand there smell:mad:

thanx ill try never actually touched a mouse before always just dump em in after knockin em against the wall the one that got away was done with a brrom and lil container. man i wish hed just eat f/t

if you try to stun them and you are not successful in stunning them ,what u will have is an angry mouse and thats what probably happened to you .

I never stun the mice that I feed to my snake because of the little buggers getting angry and possibly biting my snake. As for the bite, just keep an eye on it and make sure it stays clean. Your snake should be just fine.

I'm glad that mine only eats f/t. I hate mice too, so very much, but I still think I would feel bad feeding it something alive. A friend of mine when I lived in Chicago for a bit had a rock python that at one time ate guinea pigs. He was out of town and asked me to feed it "which pretty much ment throwing the thing in it's room and shutting the door" but I could still hear it and I felt so bad. I know I'm a whimp lol

Glad that my boy Koga eats f/t mostly because it's cheaper and I hate hearing the mice. I've tried to get live mice before just to see what it's like but I've never been able to make it down to my local reptile shop.

Chopsticks works well or hemostats. I usually put the mice in a snake bag and whallop them against the wall. They usually are killed instantly and if the aren't they aren't doing any damage to the snake. For the bite on Tyson. Grab a bottle of betadyne from any local drug store and apply with a qtip 1x daily. That's all! It'll heal on its own and the betadyne will prevent infection. I always have some handy for any scrapes or bites or wounds in general.
