All 3 snakes refused the same rat
So yesterday was feeding day for my balls, offered the first one the rat, no go, so I offered the other one the same rat, no go. Took the same ray and offered it to my boa, no go. Thought it was odd they all refused the same rat!! What gives, never happened before and my boa always eats. I'm stumped. Threw the rat away. Any opinions???

'Tis the season for feeding refusals with balls. Don't know about the boa, though!

Weird cuz both balls ate last week, as well as my boa. Maybe a faulty rat, lol. I really hate throwing away a rat. I'd feed it to my carpet but he's too small.

I had this happen once before with my ball pythons when I was trying to feed a small f/t rat. I am assuming there was something wrong with the rat. Snakes seem to be able to tell when a rat is bad for some reason.

Yeah I'm really not sure what could have been wrong with the rat. Iv been buying em from the same place ever since iv had my first snake. And I always dethaw them the same way. Guess I'll try again next week.

Depending the size of the rat, are you sure it was up to temp?

Seems like a basic question but theres been a few times iv warmed up some med-large rats and it was just not quite hot enough for a few of them. Once warmed up a bit more, was like night and day :D

Possible that it could have cooled off abit too much.
