So happy, new python just ate for me!
I am so thrilled. Seems kinds silly really to be so excited, but I am!
My juvi ball python that I got last Thursday just ate for me! She had been coming out of her hide more the past two days and I thought she might be looking around for food. So I thawed a fuzzy, warmed it up, and sat it ontop of the screen so Eileithiya (Ili) could start to smell it.
About an hour later I put the fuzzy in some tongs and started dangling it infront of Ili, jiggling it a bit, and she looked interested. Started tonguing the air, coiling her upper body, and within a minute or two, she struck and grabbed it. I let go and proceeded to watch her swallow it! Now she seems to be looking around for more. Could that be? She keeps coming back to the area of her home where she grabbed the fuzzy. Should I offer her more than one fuzzy per feeding?
I can hardly explain how happy and blessed I feel that she ate on our first attempt since bringing her home. Yeah!!!:D

You may want to offer another food item, do you know the weight of your snake and the weight of the fuzzies which you are offering?

Yes it is exciting. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so!

I know I posted the first time mine ate too. I think it is a great thing to get excited about and congrats. It is normal for them to stay in feeding mode for a while after eating mine always does this too. If the food item is small enough you can feed 2 no problem but in total you don't want to go over around 20% of the snakes weight for the total feeding.
