Box opening pictures of Hog Island boa. 6 pictures DUW

I received my hog island boa baby boy this morning by UPS. He is amazing! He is so friendly and curious. I held him for about an hour. He never hissed or struck at me. He is much better than I was even hoping for. I just love him! He is so different from my ball pythons. He moves differently, feels different, and acts different. I am so smitten by this guy.

I also posted at the redtail forum, so those of you that are members at both, please don't mind the double post.

His heat pack in the box didn't seem to be working. It was taped to the top of the box and it wasn't warm. I don't think it was ever working. Poor guy was really cold. There wasn't any styrofoam in the box either, I thought that was usually what was used. It was just a box packed with newspaper and him in a sack with more newspaper.

What a beautiful Hogg Island Boa! I sooooo want one of these! You are just too lucky!

Congrats on your Hog. Boas are a lot different than balls, and are my favorite species. Sorry to hear that he was packaged so poorly, and I am glad to hear that he made it safe. I can not beleive the shipper did not use insulation. :mad:

He is pretty. Keep us posted on how hes doing.
