Mating and health benefits?

I would ideally like to get only one BP because I don't want to have babies on my hands, but are there any health benefits to the snake if he/she mates?

Nope. It actually stresses them out and depletes their reserves.

Yeah I have heard of nothing but risks when it comes to mating. You can keep a very health happy BP for many years without mating them.
