Hogg Island Boa
I have a friend who can no longer keep his HIB. I have a spare 75g tank sitting around that I don't plan on using. I have doing some research. But I cant find anything that says what substrate that would be best for the boa.
Can I see some pics of yalls set up? I want to make sure its right before I decide to home it. Its about 4'.

Use the same substrates that you would use for any other snake. Use aspen, cypress, coconut husk, paper towel, newspaper, etc. Avoid pine, cedar, and sand.

It is vitally important with Hoggs to maintain proper temperatures, so make sure that the cool side is at least 80-82ºF and the warm side is around 88-92ºF. Any regular bedding like aspen, cypress, paper towels, or newspaper will work.
