A New Arrival

This little guy was picked up week before last. When I walk by his cage I have to stop and stare as I'm amazed by the bright yellow.

Kind of. He was imported as a normal, but as a baby he had a burnt orange color. As he grew older the orange turned to this yellow color. It is almost like a platty and many have called him a platty. I have another WC female that went through a similar color change. Next season they'll pair to see if there is anything funky going on with them genetically or if they're just exceptional normals.

That is a really breathtaking animal.

Theres no way that thing can be normal. It glows. It really does resemble a platty. If it is normal its the best looking normal Ive ever seen. Those yellows are insane

Looks like a Platimum to me too. Its gorgeous. Id like to produce some Super Dwarf Platinums someday.
