So my new girl just had her first shed (since I've owned her) and it was an ordeal. I kept her tub real humid while she was in shed but she still managed to only remove about 2/3 worth.
Having gone through a couple bad sheds with my balls, I knew she needed a soak, so I went in and pulled her out. She wasn't calm by any means but wasn't nippy either. I set her in the warm 6qt tub and closed it up. She laid still for about a minute but then went nuts. She was not happy and wanted out. She was nosing the lid and really going crazy. I left her in there about 20 minutes or so and was fully expecting her wrath when I got her out. It wasn't too bad. She didn't bite me but was as alert and posed. I moved her back to her tub and as she slid back into her hide through my hand, I was able to peel off the last 3rd of her shed, so the soak was a success. She also musked in the tub and pooped a little which made for an enjoyable cleaning experience. She looks awesome in the new skin and I'm pretty happy we avoided a confrontation :)
