Good Feeding & do i need a scale?
    Hey all!

Well we had a good feeding today, he took 2 mice. He seemed really content afterwards and went to his hide to sleep. He seems to be doing pretty good now that he is on a better feeding sched. But my main question is, should I be weighing him? I mean, at this moment I don't plan on breeding him, but may down the road. But is this something that should be done even if he is pet? Thanks guys for your answers in advance!

I didnt plan on breeding in the beginning but I still weigh mine, I am a little OCD with it though because I weigh them every week:O

It's nice to keep track of weights and sheds and poo's for future reference but it's not a must do kind of thing.

The more snakes you have the more of a necessity it becomes.

All of mine get weighed every week too, right before their food gets weighed.

Its not nessesary to keep weight records but it can be helpful. I used to weigh mine once a month the day before feeding that week. But now I weigh about every 2 - 3 months . weighing more often in my opinion pointless some of it is rat weight anyway. I will record the weight when I have one go off food at the second refusal so I can monitor weight loss better.

When you are feeding multiples, a scale will be handy to make sure you are feeding the right amount of prey...
