leopard gecko egg sunken in on the bottom ?
Hi si im hoping someone with hatching experiance can help me out here. This is my first time incubating eggs and i have been reading up online but thats only getting me so far. . .
My new girl came to me gravid and so i have incubated the eggs and they seemed to be doing great up until now. The eggs should be hatching any day now ( we are on day 56ish and incubating at 83f) Thing is the eggs, both of them have sunken in at the bottom. Im not talking little dents but the bottom of the egg is pretty flat now. I read that they dent before hatching but i assumes the denting would happen on the top. I know that this can happen if they dont have enough moisture so i have added a little to the vermiculite although i dont see how that could be the problem when they have been fine up until now.
So does it sound normal because to me it doesnt look it. Has anyone had this happen to an egg and still have it hatch out ok ? I do hope i have not got this far only to loose them at this late a stage.
Thanks

Well im just popping in to say thanks for the quick response when i was freaking about the eggs but one of them hatched this morning so fingers crossed for the other to show face now too. Will post a pic later on. I think its a normal. It has black eyes but i assume this is normal and they will change ?
