    Palpating
Alright guys. I know how to palpate, but I've only done 2 females so I am not an expert on it. I've read just about every palpation topic online, and have watched many videos. All I am trying to figure out is how hard of a squeeze is too hard? The first female I palpated had all slugs, and although I know me palpating her was not the cause of her slugs - a tiny paranoid voice inside of me wants to know the answer to this question!

I've seen some people squeeze them pretty flat in videos and pictures who are very experienced breeders, but I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who would like to know if anyone knows of palpation actually hurting the female or the eggs. I am mainly talking about palpation for follicles before ovulation, but would be interested to hear on palpation after ovulation as well.

I just palpated my big lesser female today and I'm pretty sure I felt 7 marble-sized follicles. Hopefully they all come out pearly white and fertile :gj:

It really depends on how much resistance they give you. If the girl is relaxed they will flatten right out...If they tense up it is a little more difficult. I think it really boils down to common sense. If you feel like you are putting a death grip on them...It is probably too hard. just my .02.
