The unofficial all things BEER thread!
Beer...it's too great not to have its own thread!

Last week while perusing the aisles of Total Wine I finally found my first and only sixer of Bell's Hopslam. I've been wanting to try it for a while but could never find it. It's a bit pricey at 21 bucks a six. Not something I would put into the regular rotation, but it's definitely worth it for special occassions! One of the best beers I've ever had...:gj:

One not so great trend I've noticed is some breweries going to four packs vice six packs. Some beers I don't mind spending a little more on...Weyerbacher's Simcoe double IPA/Dogfish 120min IPA, the aforementioned Hopslam...but I just recently saw that Green Flash is now selling their West Coast IPA in four packs instead of sixers...at the same or even a bit higher of a price...I've seen others doing the same thing...I can deal with a slight price hike, but not a price hike on top of two fewer bottles??? That was as surprising as Stone's Ruination going from 11 bucks a six to 18...:O

There was also a show on Discovery called "How Beer Saved the World"...check it out if you have the chance...it was very entertaining and informative! :D

I stick with bud light, bud light lime, coors light or jack daniels. All cost about 17$ a case of 24 bottles.

With how fast beer is consumed its not worth paying high prices.
