Oil filled space heater that is compatible with Ranco Thermostat?
Which oil filled space heaters are compatible with Ranco Thermostats? Or will any of them work?

I just have a small room, about 6x7 feet that I want to heat.

I don't know about the Ranco's but I'm using a Helix 1500 watt system that works great and I recently spoke to Helix Controls and they have a DBS 1000 that is capable of handling 1500 watts.

But as far as the heaters go does it matter which one?

Those thermostats are simply on/off, so I'd hate to order a space heater that when powered off by a thermostats it doesn't power back on again. I have to order the heater online since none of the local stores carry them.

As long as it is under 1500 watts (which if I remember correctly it the max wattage supported by ranco) any will do.

A good oil filled heater can be found for around $40.

I have a 1500 watt oil filled radiator hooked up to a Ranco. The radiator has three heat settings: Low (600w) Med (900w) or these two combined on High (1500w). The Ranco is rated to 1500w, but the surge protector it came wired with pops whenever the thermostat is on high. So, I use it on Medium. I don't know if this is a problem with the radiator surging when set on high, or if it's the surge protector.

In any case, your 6 x 7 room will not require much to warm it (provided you're not living in Siberia). Any oil filled radiator should work, but you may consider getting one with different power settings.
