    Thyssa is missing...
Oye ....my Quince monitor Thyssa somehow got out of her cage. Not sure how this happen as all locks were in place and the huge rocks were still on top of the cage. I saw her at 7:30 am and went to take her out at 2:30pm and she was not in there.

We have gutted every room in the house and still cannot find her. How a 3 ft monitor could hide this well is beyond me. We even left her food upstairs and downstairs and left for a couple of hours. The food was never touched. Its a total mystery to me!!!!

    Any ideas.....

What temp is your house? She may be curled up somewhere cold, like the back of a closet or under the edge of something where you can hardly see. I've been there and hope you find her!

We keep our house at 78 degrees. Still cold for a monitor. But we are keeping the light on in the cage just in case she decides she wants to warm up. Its really the weirdest thing.....I mean the cage looked seriously unmoved (for lack of better words). Its so crazy!! If I didn't know better I would think someone came in and took her.

We will keep looking and I will put out food again today. (I have to pick up the food at night due to the dogs). As far as getting out....the only way would of been the back sliding glass door and if that got opened the dogs would of come running in. So I don't think she got out.

I thought I heard her little nose sneeze thing she does last night when I went to bed...but we really really tore apart our room and found nothing. Amazing how small a 3 ft. monitor can make themselves.

I have a feeling....though we ripped apart this room as well....that she might be in my Mom's room. For some reason...all the animals go into "grandma's" room.......even the kid....lol:rolleyes: I guess even in reptile world grandmas make it all better...

I don't know where she was......but I found her. I was sitting in the theater room surfing BPnet and I heard scratching coming from the wall behind me. (that would be our bedroom). I walked in to find her right next to the snake cages looking up like ..."oh hey...how's it going". She was so calm and nice and snugglie. Picked the little turkey neck up and put her back in her cage and added more wieght to the top. She is clearly in time out for a bit!!!
