    Really dumb question on tank cleaning
    Ok, so I feel dumb even asking this but...

    I have my probe from my thermometer glued to the bottom of my tank above the heating pad, as I am sure a lot of you do.

    How do you guys clean your tanks with the probe attached like this? I am hesitant putting water in the tank for fear it may affect the probe.

    I wouldnt worry, it is a probe to be used outdoors right?

    Yes but I have no doubt getting wet like rain wouldn't be an issue, but what about it being submerged? Also will using clorhexidine cause any issues with it?

    If you're worried, try putting in in a plastic bag with rubber bands while you clean.

    instead of gluing it, you could just tape it down with the foil tape. but in any case, getting it wet shouldn't be a problem
