    Cinnamon BP pricing
Ok here's the situation. I bought my female last summer, she is a May 2010 baby. I purchased her for $280. She is now 400g, and eats a F/T small rat every 7-10 days.

I am moving next week and the new apartment is smaller so I have decided to keep only one BP (my pied) and to find her a new home.

I have put an ad on CG, and on Fauna last month, and a few people got interested. I have noticed that cinnies came down in price, but females are typically worth more than males, and she is about 400g, and usually they take value with size.

I have been trying to get $200 for her, just to recoup a little bit, and all I am getting is people offering me $100. I had 2 persons mentionned that they can get much cheaper at the local reptile show, and I went there today and I saw males for $245-$265. I know some people are going to try to lowball my price as much as they can, but I even said $175 and someone said it's too much.

I looked around kingsnake and Fauna and I think I am being realistic with $175-200, but $100 ??? I would like to hear some output on what is going on with pricing on the cinnies, I have seen males for $125. Seems like they came way down in price in the last 6 months.

Thats normal for cheap buyers trying to get something for nothing and then flip for profit.

$200 is more than a fair price for her, you will find that ppl will try to low ball you. Place an ad in the for sale section here.

thanks. I will try here. I wanted to try local first, but if I have to ship it's not a problem either.

I honestly wouldn't sell her for anything less than $300. I see female 2010 cinnamons for $225-250 on kingsnake and on major breeder websites. People are just trying to rip you off!

$200 is low, offers for $100 are ridiculous and are not even worth a response. I think you should easily get back what you paid for her. If it were me, I would offer her for $300 shipped and not take a penny less.

Don't accept those low balls. I picked up a sharp 2010 that was listed at $250. I got a better deal because I'm buying a total of four snakes but seriously, $300 is a fair market price for a female that size. $200 is a steal! That's twice the size of the one I'm getting.

    Regards,

I just checked my messages and replied to them :)

On Fauna I got someone asking me to ship her in a 7x7x7 box to save on shipping. I have received a baby bp that was about 150g in a box twice that size, and with the insulation, heatpack and newspaper around it was just the right size. I can't imagine using a smaller box for a snake 3 times her size...:O
