    A few post ovulation questions.
We have a female that we posted pics of last week of her ovulation. It was an obvious ov, she was HUGE! So according to research she should now be close to her pre lay shed and be seeking the hot side. Is this correct? But all she's been doing is soaking in her water dish on the cool side. So is she just soaking getting ready for her pre lay shed or is she still cool seeking? Also if she is just soaking and she is gravid will the cool water have any negative affects on the developing eggs? Also should we move the water dish to the warm side. Thanks for any help you guys can give us.

She is most likely soaking to get ready for the shed. Some of my girls have done the same thing. They usually get on the heat after that shed. I wouldn't worry much.

Soaking is a good thing! She is getting ready for her pre lay shed! Here is a good website to help you with the signs: http://www.ballpython.ca/gallery/breeding.html
