Reptile Show Find (non animal)
Sorry, but I forgot to post information on the Havre de Grace show, but it was today. A good bit of animals, a good bit of supplies too. But as I walked around, some guy was selling yard sale style stuff. I look over and there's a Helix. I pick it up, ask how much and he said $30. Well, I've seen these types before, basically a box of broken electronics. I ask the guy if I can test it. I plug it in set it to 70 degrees. Grip it in my hand and the temp goes up. I let go and the temps go back down. Good enough for me.
I happily hand him $30 and walk away. I had to stop and get a piece of heat shrink to repair the probe. I made the repair, plugged it in and set it up on one of my racks. It works like a charm. :partyon:
Happy me!

Greg, I got there at 9 and left at 11. Lots of people, but I didn't see many purchases. Ya gotta realize, this show was only 3 weeks after the Feb show, so I don't know how well the vendors did.
Just a note to everyone, there were a ton of Carpet Pythons being sold, only 1 Hognose, 2,863,192 corns and one absolutely stunning ball python. Can't remember everything, but it was a Pastel, Ivory and something else. Reminded me of the funkiest Pied ever seen, but didn't have any Pied in it at all. BTW, it was $7500 cash only. Little guy had an attitude too. Striking at everything and biting a few, (me included). Alan had it for sale.
Had a vendor there that had some of the most malnourished baby Balls. Ususally he has one, maybe two, but this time he had 5-6. I won't comment on his name, but some know of him.
It seemed that this show has turned into the leopard gecko and bearded dragon show. I can't tell you how many of these llizards were for sale.
There were also 5 people selling frozen rodents. I'll never get used to this sight. Two vendors had there rodents sitting out on their table. These 2 weren't the regulars, but it kinda makes ya mad when you see this. Instead of making a sign, they sit 4 or 5 bags of rodents on their table. Wouldn't be bad, but they were actually selling these bags of rodents.
Chicken strips were great tasting, good deal and great tasting.
That's my report. Lets see what the April show has to offer.

Don't you just love those deals? They don't happen to often though. But I did find a great deal about a year ago and I'm still smiling. I came across a package deal on a 30 quart 4 Iris tub rack from Reptile Basics and 2 of their large hides and a Herpstat II and a sweet 1000 gram BHB line normal female all for $170.00! Love finding those deals.
great find,
Dave
