a little worried

I have a female spider ball who doesn't poop as often as my other 3 ball pythons do. My other 3 usually go once per week but my spider only goes once per month. But now its been 5 weeks and I am beginning to worry.

All four ball pythons are kept in the same rack system which was purchased form reptilebasics.com. I use a bah-1000sc for heat control keeping the back of the tubs at 89-90 degrees.

Any advice?

Don't worry to much. Unless there is a real hard spot at her back end she should be completely fine. If you are worried you could give her a nice soak in a tub of nice warm water. That usually works good at getting things moving....

BP's poop frequency depends on what and when they eat. If you are worried you can soak her in a warm bath. Fill a rubbermaid (or whatever type tub) up with warm water. Only fill it half way up her body, so she doesn't have to struggle for air..Leave her in there for 30 min to an hour. Then put her back in her tub. That should speed things along. Good Luck!

Yep....A 10 minute soak should do the trick. Just soak and then put him back in his tub - by morning you will probably have a mess to clean up.

Constipation is a sign of general dehydration. Pooping does depend on frequency and size of the meal. But if she's a little dehydrated this could cause her to get backed up so to speak. I also suggest a nice 88.f bath. This will help things along. While shes in the bath you could try gently running your finger down her tummy and seeing if that helps empty her out.
