how to tell when to put in your male?
I know some people have late season breeders ect. Besides the obviouse size and all that. How do you tell when to put in your male.

Just put him in with the female for a few days and then give him a few days break and do the cycle all over again and if he is ready and the right size he should do his job. Keep doing this until you see locks and eventually ovulation. I have heard that you should cool them for a month or so they start producing sperm plugs but yet again other people say they dont cool at all. Also if you get a storm front moving in introduce him then. Apparently air pressure gets them going. Hope this helps.

If my female is of size and refuses a meal or two for no apparent reason, I will put in a male with her. It usually ends in a lock. Good Luck:)
