Dual UTH? + Digital Scale source
    Hi, a few quick questions.

First off, where can I get a decent digital scale for relatively cheap?

Secondly, and more importantly, I have a 20 gal terrarium I am planning on putting my ball into when I get it, and was handed down two different sized UTHs. One is a 10-20 gal, and the other is what I'm assuming is a 5-10gal. I was told to cover 1/3 of the tank floor, an the 10-20 gal UTH doesn't quite cut it. If I place them next to each other on the tank floor and plugged into the same thermostat will that work fine?

Also, the 5-10 gal UTH was previously attached to another tank, so I peeled it off and covered it with tin foil, and am planning on attaching it to my tank with foil tape, if I end up using it. Will this work? Here's a picture:

    Thanks,

As long as when you peeled it off the previous tank, that you did it carefully. Other than that yes it will be fine foiled up & taped onto a new tank

If you are going to use both UTH's for the warm side, yes you can run them with the same thermostat, but, I would recommend using separate thermometers to monitor the temp of each one to see if one is going to run hotter than the other. If there is a big difference in the temps between the two, then use the thermostat probe on the hotter one...

    Okay, thanks for the replies.

I'm going to purchase a temperature gun, will that suffice?

Also, any ideas on a scale?

Ebay has good prices, or Bed Bath & Beyond

Malwarts carries $20 digital kitchen scales as does Harbor Freight

Temp guns are great but also having a probed thermometer around isn't a bad idea ;)

Well I've got one Acurite thermometer right now, I just think it would be a lot to have two on one tank. The gun would save me that hassle.
