    BP small cut
    Theres a veerryy small cut on my 8 month old mojave no bigger than the size of a scale but the surrounding area of it is swolen! I need some insight please, what is it/what do i do? I can have pictures if necessary within a day or two.:(

    (looks almost like a large blister, oh and its on the right side of his neck)

    Sounds like he might have just cut himself on something. What substrate are you using and is there anything sharp in his enclosure? Get some neosporin WITHOUT painkillers and dab it on if your worried about infection.

    There is nothing in his enclosure to harm him at all, its just the swelling that concerns me, and yes i will definately use the non painkilling neo just in case.. it just looks abnormal from a regular cut is why im concerned.. but thank you for your insight

    Any cuts on a snake in captivity are abnormal... most happen from rodents.

    True, well the swelling is gone now and it did appear right after feeding, so that would explain it

    Scarlett recently scuffed up her nose in an escape attempt and i used some neosporin on it (yes non-painkilling) it worked like a charm. good luck and keep an eye on it.
