    Shedding question
So I thought he was begging to shed yesterday because I saw slight sheddings near a hide, then today I went to check on him and he is vibrant on his head :) just part though, could he be having trouble? or is he just actually starting today? Should I soak him? or wait a day to do that?

If its past the blue phase and eyes are clearing up , up your humidity, no need to soak

If you actually saw pieces of shed skin around his hide, and it looks like he's having trouble getting it off his body, then you might need to soak him if he doesn't get it all off in a couple days. If you just meant that he doesn't look dull anymore, then yeah, he's probably going to start shedding soon and you should just make sure your humidity is around 70%

You don't need to soak him unless there's actual old skin stuck to his body :)

Hmm, yeah, from that pic it looks like he's having trouble. How are you measuring the humidity in his enclosure?

Since you just noticed this yesterday, I would make sure your humidity is around 70% and wait another day to see if he can get it off by himself. If he hasn't gotten most of it off by tomorrow, you're probably going to have to soak him. Just make sure the water is room temp (not hot and not cold) and that it's not so deep that he's floating in it. Running a damp towel along his body after you soak him will help too. If you have any other questions, check this out http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...hed-No-problem.

    Good luck! :)

I use a walmart indoor outdoor thermometer hygrometer combo thing. And I have to mist about twice a day to keep his humidity right, unfortunately I use a glass aquarium, I plan on switching to tubs soon though.
