bitten for the first time
So i have finally been bitten lol sonya got me pretty good too lol but thats how it goes. so my question is should i wait to pick her up agian for a couple of days or just go for it agian tonight cause i need to do some tank cleaning she made a mess with the last rat i fed her (blood all over the place i gotta wash some stuff and change bedding) thnx for the help

hahA! My first snake bite was from my Yellow Conda Betty... little booger... It bled more than it hurt. Welcome to the club :)

Welcome to the club but it is mostly more flash than pain.. I was was recently bitten by one of my sub adult dragons and that hurt a lot more than any of my snake bites...

I agree I had a problem taming one of my Beardies, took a few bites, hurt a lil more.

Persistence is the key and really showing no fear.
Approach your snake from a different angle. Especially if it's young, they are still scared and new to being a pet, so generally they will not but it does happen.
I like to make sure they know my hand is in there not to harm them but to nurture care for and be handled. So be patient keep your hand in thier enclosure and speak gently to them, if they are jumpy just wiggle your hand from underneath them to pick them up.
