    Got My Spider
    So,

I picked my Spider up from Air Canada cargo yesterday after noon.
I was incredibly satisfied, she is one of the most beautiful spiders I have ever seen.

I am curious although, what you guys think I should be feeding her.

Normally, I would know exactly what she needs but I've never seen one being fed the way my breeder has been feeding her.

    Is this normal?

    She is 278 grams.

Congrats!! :D I love spiders (awesome name for her too, btw)

Well, from that feeding schedule it looks like he was alternating sizes and just using whatever he happened to have more of at the time. I would say that at 278 grams she's a bit too big for fuzzies, and I would either keep her on the hoppers for awhile (maybe move up to rat hoppers if you can find them) or you could probably even move her up to normal size mice. I'm a visual person myself, so it's harder to say without pictures, but whatever prey is about the same width as the largest part of her body would be fine :)

I would get a picture for you but she is pretty agitated still.. I went home to check on her last night and she was still racing around the cage.

Here is the pictures the breeder gave me.

    and I agree

A fuzzie is far too small for her. She is bigger than my other female who is eating adults.. I want to give her an adult, but I might just go with a hopper for now

Oh wow, she is gorgeous!! I love the high white on her sides!!

She also does look a little thin from that second pic, so I would say move her up to adult mice asap (once she has a chance to calm down and adjust of course). I bet she would take it no problem :)

Me too. Like, she is not a small snake at all.

That is why I was confused about the breeders feeding techniques.. Even when I asked him, he told me that she should be okay to go up to HOPPERS xD

I feed my 4 month male hoppers and he downs em like no tomorrow.

I will definitely try feeding her a adult.
