    Hygrometer question...
I just picked up my first GTP and it came with a sweet set up but was missing a hygrometer. I'd like some advice on a really nice one to get for his enclosure.

Go to your local hardware store and find a probe hygrometer. Dont even bother with the stickon dail ones, they are almost always junk.

But your local hardware store should have a variety and its alot cheaper than going to petsmart and buying one that was made for "pets".

Yeah you can just check out your local home depot or walmart for one, just make sure it has a probe, The general way to go is with acu rite indoor outdoor thermometer,it can red both sides of the tub and your humidity all in one and it really accurate.

I typically seem to go against the grain, I'd go with a hygrometer designed for humidors. The analogue ones are around 10$ and can be calibrated. Out of the box I have now tested 7 and all 7 are perfectly accurate (standard salt test) The digital ones (acu-rite,3 zoo meds, and a zilla) were terrible the zoo med reads 27%,34%,29% low. The acurite was a touch better at 18% low, the zilla was 13% high. Then there were 7 analogue bi metal ones that were all the same and all accurate. I'd go with one of them just check at a high end cigar shop.

    Thanks everyone!
Is misting multiple times a day generally enough to keep the humidity right or should I get a humidifier for his room?
